Trip Highlights

Every Route is the Scenic Route

There are two trails contained within Sweden Creek Natural Area. One trail takes you to the top of the falls, and the other takes you to the bottom. Either route is extremely scenic and exploring both trails is highly recommended. If you had to pick just one: looking for an easier stroll with a big payoff then take the top route, but if you are wanting a boulder hopping adventure then head to the bottom of the falls.

Photographers on the Trail

The Sweden Creek Natural Area is jam-packed with scenic beauty. It’s main attraction is Sweden Creek Falls which is over 80′ tall, but if that’s not enough for you then you’ll be happy to know the area also offers bluff-shelters, house-sized boulders, more waterfalls, a great display of Spring wildflowers, and so much more. Cloudy days after big rains are the best time to photograph the falls.

Exercise Caution and Always Keep an Eye on Children

Please exercise caution around the bluffline and waterfall, especially if you have children along. They should not be unsupervised for even a moment in this area.
